A mother from Hannah's class called me last week and she was really mad. Hannah sent out an e-mail asking her 5th grade friends to support an anti abortion movement. Obama wants a policy pushed through that would allow girls to get a pill that would abort babies and it would be covered by insurance. Hannah thought that was a crime. I let her send out the e-mail and a huge Obama supporter called me back and let me have it. She basically said that she would have expected this kind of e-mail from a 'public school family' but never from a 'Christian school family'. Her daughter would not be taught about abortion from Hannah and that we should be protecting our kids from terrible things rather than talking about them; especially when they are only 10 yrs. old.
I felt like a loser parent. I cried for 2 days. I was feeling BLUE.....
On the 2nd day after the call, I received an e-mail from a friend I haven't seen in 5 years. It said, "Bridgette, God has put you on my heart all day and I just wanted to know if you're OK. Do you need me to pray about anything?"
Was that cool or what! God had compassion and sent me a prayer warrior!

I won the grand prize of $200 at my work party last weekend!
Sweet! I am waiting to see what God wants me to do with it. I may save up for a mission trip.
I prayed over Johnny today and asked for God to be with him during his freshman finals this week. Let's see how it went.
We are getting our first 'safe family' children on Thursday. Ryan and Jayla. I have been praying that this would be a good fit for us. I expect more answered prayer to be recorded in this journal!
